Court & Department Updates

Last updated September 10, 2025

Important:

Nevada

Statewide- 08/27/2025: A statewide cyber incident is impacting court systems across Nevada. Some courts are experiencing significant slowdowns, while others are facing complete outages. The issue remains under investigation, and at this time there is no estimated resolution. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if anything changes. Expected TAT: Not Provided

  • Update - 09/09/2025: Most court systems have been restored. There are still two Justice Courts that are down, where research is unavailable:
    Churchill - Fallon Justice
    Humboldt - Winnemucca Justice

There is no eta for restoration for these courts.

  • All other courts are operating, with varying levels of backlogged searches.  Please expect delays.

Louisiana

Orleans - 09/05/2025: The Sheriff's Department's system is down due to a ransomware attack.  Court records are also affected.  Public access is down.  There is no eta for restoration.

Court Updates:

Arizona

Multiple Counties - Ongoing: Due to a change with the Judicial Branch online index requiring an update to our automation, please expect delays in the following Arizona counties while our team completes orders through conventional research: Apache, Cochise, Coconino, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, Santa Cruz. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Arkansas

Monroe - 08/13/2025: At this time, the Clarendon District court does not have a court clerk performing court duties or offering clerk assistance and no available ETA on when a clerk will be available at the court. Please expect delays on all Monroe County orders requiring a search of the Clarendon District court. Expected TAT: Not Provided

California

Plumas - Ongoing: Plumas Superior Court is in a tough spot. They’re 100% clerk-assisted, meaning there’s no public access terminal (PAT) available, and on top of that, they’ve implemented a new policy that’s making things trickier. Citing California Penal Code Article 6, Sections 13300-13302, the clerks are now flat-out refusing to share case information with the general public. Meaning: if a search comes back with no records found, we can report that right away—easy enough. But if there are records, we can’t access them and the court’s not budging. Turnaround times were already stretching out, averaging 2 to 3 weeks prior to this issue.

  • Update on 07/08/2025: Reversing course, the court has decided to return to it's previous policies, allowing public access to ID's and case information.  Expected TAT: Please allow time for backlog to be caught up.

San Joaquin - Ongoing: The San Joaquin County systems are down due to a cyberattack. Unfortunately, no timeline is available for restoration, but we will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with updates as they become available. Expected TAT: Not Provided

  • Press Release: https://www.kcra.com/article/san-joaquin-county-superior-court-cybersecurity/62779325

  • As of 11/06/2024: Court Clerks cannot provide an ETA on when the system will be restored and functioning normally. Please expect extended delays on all San Joaquin orders while the in-court system and online index outage persists.

Riverside - Ongoing: There is a process at this court, complaints must be ordered to verify the DOB from the clerk. Once verified, case dockets will be obtained to build a full case report to complete the order. Delays are expected due to this process and excess verifications that may need to be processed for common names.

Sacramento, Siskiyou, and Solano - Ongoing: IDs have been removed from the public access and researchers are now being limited to pulling 5 case files per day. Searches with no name matches can be returned as clear very quickly.  Searches with name matches must be ordered through the clerks.  Limited appointments, limited file pulls, and clerk shortages add to the extended backlogs - delays expected. Expected TAT: 3-4 weeks

Georgia

Colquitt - 09/05/2025: The courthouse public access terminals are currently down due to a server outage. At this time, court clerks do not have an ETA on when the PATs will be restored. Please expect delays on all Colquitt orders while the PAT outage persists. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Cobb - Ongoing: Cobb Superior Court has removed all DOBs and additional identifiers from their primary case management system, ICON. Court clerks have stated they will only verify additional IDs on 1-2 cases per day at this time. The court is expected to implement a supplemental system, CMS 360, that will contain additional identifiers, however there is currently no ETA or timeline on when the system will be available to access. Please expect extended delays on all Cobb county criminal orders until CMS 360 has been fully vetted and implemented by the court. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Clayton - Ongoing: The Superior court only has one computer and a high hit ratio requiring full DOBS and 3rd IDs, which have to get funneled through the clerks, we are experiencing a large backlog at this time. We have brought on several researchers to help chip away at the volume for the time being. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Hawaii

Various Areas – Ongoing: We have been updated that the Hawaii courts are very understaffed and have very strong restrictions when it comes to requesting records. One example is Honolulu: If files need pulled, they are available for viewing by appointment only. Older cases must be ordered and take ~14days to receive. Once these cases come in, they are also only available for viewing in the viewing room by appointment. Expected TAT: There are plans to improve the TAT but please expect delays until these plans are in place.

Illinois

Cook - Ongoing: The public access terminals in Cook are currently missing identifier information including full dates of birth, addresses, and driver license numbers. Please expect delays on Cook orders while our team works with the court. At this time, the court clerks cannot confirm if this is a temporary or permanent change. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Kentucky

Carroll - 09/03/2025: The court is closed for the week due to flooding; expect delays. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Louisiana

Multiple Counties - 09/10/2025: Researchers are investigating an issue impacting automation in the following LA parishes, unrelated to the cyberattack that took place in Orleans Parish. At this time, orders in these counties will be completed through manual research. Please expect delays on all criminal orders while our team works to fully restore our automation capabilities. Ascension, Calcasieu, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jackson, Lafayette, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Tammany, and Union. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Maine

All Counties - 08/06/2025: Searches are currently experiencing extended delays due to clerk training and a recent increase in result clerk errors.  Due to the number of errors that were found recently, the clerks implemented a new process that is slowing down turnaround times substantially.  All results must now be reviewed by one of two head clerks before they can be returned to researchers.  This has created a much slower turnaround time for all results.  Expected TAT: Right now searches are averaging 2 weeks.

Michigan

All Counties – Ongoing: Due to the new Michigan Clean Slate Law, clerks all over the state are working to expunge criminal cases from the public record.  For many counties in Michigan, all searches are conducted through court clerks.  We expect turnaround times will be negatively impacted as the clerks scramble to expunge cases on top of their other regular duties.

While the clerks are working to expunge the appropriate cases, they are limiting public access to only go back 7 years in some counties still.  Expected TAT: 36-48 hours

As of 10/31/2024: The following MI Counties are limited to 7 years or has special notes -
if the county is not listed – full access is restored:

  • ALGER, ALLEGAN, ALPENA, CASS, DELTA, EATON, GENESEE, GRATIOT, HILLSDALE, IONIA, ISABELLA, MIDLAND, MONROE, MONTMORENCY, OGEMAW, OTTAWA, PRESQUE ISLE, SANILAC, VAN BUREN, WASHTENAW, WEXFORD

  • BAY, CALHOUN, CHIPPEWA, CLINTON, DICKINSON, KENT, ROSCOMMON, SHIAWASSEE   * Limited to 7 years in Circuit

Ohio

Please expect delays while our team works to make the necessary updates due to the unexpected change. Expected TAT: Not Provided

Tennessee

Rutherford - 07/25/2025: The court in Rutherford County has implemented a policy to eliminate all personal identifying information from records available to the public. Court clerks are prohibited from disclosing any such details, and any requested case documents will undergo redaction of identifiers before dissemination. This is anticipated to cause delays and backlog while we navigate this change. Expected TAT: Not Provided
